This is my Control Wizard in Neverwinter, its a nice free to play game that is really about as free to play as you get.
Bio:
Countess Iscariot was chased out of Waterdeep by her human husbands family after his death of natural causes, she stayed with him till he passed of old age, being a renegade from Menzobarezzen she was stunned to find a human on the surface that would help her. As she escaped her sisters from her house for a failed coup attempt by her on her mother matron, she was about to fall to her death when a fisher opened up beneath her feet as she crawled up from the Underdark, as she held on with one hand as the ground gave way beneath her. Two of her sisters came up from beneath bent on killing her. Out of no where came a flash of steel and the screams of her sisters. Just as her hand slipped off a massive hand caught hers making her scream again she looked up into the handsome face of a blue eyed human, who hosted her up to safety as if she weighed nothing. Falling into his armored arms she finally fainted form her two day non-stop climb. When woke with a yell, he was right there to calm her.
It was a case of the damsel falling head over heels for the "knight in shinning armor" right out of one of the tales and stories told by the bards. When she finally became calm enough to speak when she looked at those beautiful blue eyes the only thing she could say with her drow acent to him was, "I love you." He laughed and asked how did she fall in love with him. "The moment I looked into your eyes." she said with a bit of shyness to her. He laughed but that was 30 years ago, barely a blink in time for the young drow girl, now he was gone and his family tried to have her assassinated. she took what gold she could fined, the entire stash of Astral Diamonds her husband had horded over a 30 year career of adventuring, and her faithful panther companion and left the city one night.
She ended up in Neverwinter, that's when she found she had a knack for wizardry, she learned a few spells to defend herself along the way to Neverwinter, now she is a Master Wizard in her own right, Captain of her own Mercenary Company, and one of the Heros of Neverwinter. She took her former Waterdeepian title of Countess with her, and is recognized as a Lady of Waterdeep now in her own right by the Protector of Neverwinter, who also happens to be the Open Lord of Waterdeep. Aiding him has won her his support to the lordship her husbands family tried to steal from her. She will never go back to Waterdeep but its a small victory over her enemies there. Now she has the power to put troops in her name into the field and is power in her own right as a master wizard.
Who would have thought, this exile of the underdark would be a hero to the surface world. Only the Gods know.

I have to say that I do like the "action combat" in Neverwinter. I wasn't sure how they were going to pull of the 4th Ed rules but they seem to have done a pretty good job of that. I agree with you on the "about as free as F2P can get", but I wish they'd either dropped the Zen or the Astral Gems, having 3 currencies just seems to be overkill. I've been playing a Trickster Thief but started a Wizard as well.
